About MySchoolOps

Built for schools that Nigeria depends on.

We came from Nigerian schools — parents, students, and in some cases teachers ourselves. We watched school admins juggle paper registers, disconnected spreadsheets, and hand-typed report cards every single term. MySchoolOps exists because that system was failing the people it was supposed to serve.

Our mission

We believe every Nigerian school — from a government secondary school in Enugu to a private academy in Lekki — deserves the same administrative infrastructure as the best-funded institutions in the world. Operational chaos should not be a tax that under-resourced schools pay. MySchoolOps makes that possible.

Purpose-built

Designed specifically for Nigerian curriculum and grading systems — WAEC and NECO scales are first-class citizens, not an afterthought.

No IT department required

Any school admin can onboard their institution in under 24 hours. No technical background needed, no implementation consultant to hire.

Schools own their data

Export everything at any time in standard formats. Your student records, your fee history, your report cards — always yours. No lock-in.

The story

It started with frustration. The founders of MySchoolOps spent years watching school administrators — dedicated, overworked people — spend the last week of every term manually compiling results from teacher notebooks, retyping data into Excel, and printing report cards one by one at a business centre down the street. Mistakes were inevitable. Stress was constant.

The problem was not capability — it was tooling. Schools were running five disconnected systems: Excel for fees, WhatsApp for staff communication, paper registers for attendance, a custom PDF template for report cards, and mental arithmetic for grade aggregation. Each term, a single clerical error could mean a child received the wrong result and a parent lodged a complaint that took days to resolve.

We built the first version of MySchoolOps to answer one question: what would a purpose-built system for a Nigerian secondary school actually look like? Not a generic SaaS product with Nigerian currency bolted on — a system designed from scratch around how Nigerian schools actually operate, with Nigerian grading scales, Nigerian term structures, and the reality that the school admin is often also the bursar, the exam officer, and the person who fixes the generator.

Today MySchoolOps handles the entire administrative layer of a school — fees, attendance, subject management, gradebook, report card generation, and staff records — in a single integrated platform. Onboarding takes under 24 hours, not two months. And everything runs in the browser, with no software to install and no IT department to maintain it.

What we stand for

01

Simplicity

Administration should take minutes, not days. Every screen in MySchoolOps is designed to get a task done and get out of the way.

02

Reliability

Nigerian schools cannot afford downtime during exam season. We architect for high availability and communicate transparently when things go wrong.

03

Transparency

No surprise fees at renewal, no hidden student limits, no premium paywalls buried in the product. What you see is what you pay for.

04

Local first

Our product decisions are driven by Nigerian teachers and principals — not hypothetical global users. Their workflow is our specification.
